Fred Nicholls is a farmer in the village, married with two children and 4 grandchildren, who all live local.
Fred is active in Witham village life and currently Secretary for the local Friendly Society.
His passion is quite simply “Witham Friary” and making it a better place for everyone to live, work and enjoy the great outdoors. Fred was born in the village, has lived here 70 years and his mother’s family go back living in Witham for generations.
Fred been on the Parish Council at various times, and a former Chair, his service to Witham Parish Council probably totals around 20 years. Fred’s responsibilities in the village include Highways and Witham Water Liaison.
